Left Wingers - I Can't Tell Which Ones Are Serious.

I can't tell whether this guy is serious or not.

I *think* it's satire, but so many left-wingers are so extreme/crazy in their blog ramblings that it's getting more and more difficult to tell which one's are serious and which one's are parodies.

Vote in the comments - real or parody?

No, I think he's serious. Have been debating these Kool-Aid drinkers for the last two years. Some are downright scary.

I'm pretty sure it's satire. Benedict Layton? That gave it away right there.

Sadly real I'm afraid. Really sad as well.

I'm actually really enjoying watching their heads explode like this...

If this guy were writing letters to the editor, they would be the kind with very tiny writing that fills up the entire sheet of paper.

I say it is for real, this is the same type of crap that has been spouted by the lib-left in the U.S. since their last election. The lib-left has become so intolerant of any opinion other than their own that they just can't help but go balistic anytime they don't get their own way uncontested.

Not serious, but definately NOT satire. I'd wager to file this one under the "deranged" category...and hopelessly uninformed, for good measure.

Hard to tell. Can anyone actually be that silly? At the same time I've heard some strange things in the last 2 days from my buddies on the left.

CBC headline reads "Cleared" beside Dosanjh picture. Actually, the commissioner said: " Nonetheless, this case presents all parties to the events in an especially unattractive light, one in which they at least appeared to have very little interest in principle and so much interest in power and perquisites."

The only difference between Grewal and Dosanjh in the whole distasteful episode is that Grewal was the more clumsy of the two. No doubt more practice would have elevated his skills to the same level as Dosanjh.

Meantime, our version of Pravda continues to report the "news".

Actually he is not on the left he is a Liberal. Notice he attacks Layton the same way he attacks the Conservatives.
But he is in good company with some of the nutbars in the Blogging Tories.

That HAS to be satire, doesn't it?

If not... boy I hope I never meet that person in real life. What an insufferable so-and-so that person would be.

Plus, if I gave that person some common sense, no doubt his/her head would explode... ewww, what a mess THAT would be! :-P

He is the result of a previous Ontario government's policies which resulted in people in mental institutions being released into the community without adequate supervision and support. He is manipulative and abusive towards everyone he comes into contact with, but was deemed not excessively violent so he is free in the community, unsupervised. He deserves not contempt, but pity.

Congratulations to the Conservative party for keeping your crazies quiet for the entire campaign. As you can see, we were less successful, and we have this embarrassment continuing to rant.

Part of what he is doing has to do with results of past similar behaviour towards other people. He can say whatever he wants about Stephen Harper, without the unpleasant necessity of having to be able to prove it is true. As a public figure, Stephen Harper cannot sue for defamation as easily. He would have to prove malice, and the insanity defence works to disprove malice.

Not so for private citizens. No malice need be proven, simply that they were defamed. The onus is on the col dr to prove his statements are true. If he cannot, there is a defence of hyperbole, that is, demonstrating that the defaming statements are so outrageous that nobody would believe them anyway. The col dr is now attempting to demonstrate that everything he says can be taken as over the top satire and not to be believed, by attacking the safe target of Stephen Harper. It is likely that he has become aware of legal action being prepared against him and so is trying to build a hyperbole defence.

You can take the bait and help his case, or simply ignore him. Or you could harm his case by acting like you agree with him.

On your first point Eugene, I agree. I suppose when I say "left" I mean "left of me".

We wouldn't let someone that crazy into the Blogging Tories, but every group has it's share of nutbars.

*cough*

The Col.Dr is actually a damn fine man and blogger of some skill, he writes with a creativity, flair and brilliance that clearly leaves you confused, bewildered and scared and he wouldn't want it any other way.

After all, you are people who pride yourself on being conservative...so you're not going to 'get it' are you?

What's heart breaking is that one side see's the other as nutcases and that side see's the other side looking straight at it believes it's also a collection of fools.

Maybe one day you can stop the name calling and get on with a decent level of politics and less sub-human deabte and name calling like children arguing over a game rather than the most important thing in the world (no, not Canada), developing a world we can make better by working together.

Right.. because that's clearly what that Blog is focused on.

I'm still hoping it's meant to be a parody...

Typical, you come back with a negative and ignore the fact you swim in shit just to make a point.

Don't you get it yet?

This pass back and forth of the ball of insults is a drag and will not move anything forward.

"It was him first!" said the whiney man-child.

*shakes head*

Daniel,

I'm unclear what point you're trying to make. What are you trying to move forward?

I'm not trying to pick a fight. I never was.

Hate to remind you this person has made overt and tangible threats of death and violence to an elected representative of OUR government and other elected officials from other countries during a time of war.

So what makes this any different other then a religiously motivated person/group…nothing Remember several people just brushed off the Columbine group as nut-jobs as well.

Think of this, what would have happened if the same overt threat would have happened if PMPM had won the election.

All hell would have broke loose and the writer would have been more than likely vilified as a right wing threat to security and would be enjoying many a night with Bubba in his cell.

Think about it people and get your self’s together. This shit for brains you so flippantly brush off maybe the vocal one. It’s the non-vocal ones we have to worry about.

If you surf something like The Alliance blogroll, you'll see it's not limited to some "left wingers".
