What Happened to "Commander In Chief"?
Commander In Chief was on CTV for a while. I was just starting to get into it. Then all of a sudden, a few months ago, it just stopped.
Did anyone else watch this show? What happened?

I watched it once, it wasn't that bad.
I dunno, perhaps it didn't catch on up here like they had hoped.
Really what I'm trying to say is, I have no idea.
The show got cancelled. There aren't enough episodes for CTV to keep re-airing them.
If you're wondering why it got cancelled, that's a very complicated question. As near as I can tell, network executives analyze the show's ratings, demographics, and profitability. Then they ignore all of that and roll some dice.
gee and i thought you were wondering about our canadian commander in chief harper/mulroney (im still not sure who is in charge). But by the showing in trenton when two of "our boys" came back in boxes neither was anywhere to be seen.Hey maybe they got a promotion and harper is working with ctv, thats the least they could do after promoting him all during the election.
When the show started its ratings were 17-18 million if not higher a week. That made it look like a big hit. Then the original show creator was removed and replaced with Stephen Bochco (NYPD Blue guy) and several characters were replaced/changed and the ratings started to drop.
The last new episodes shown were at the 11-12 million mark and although that in itself isn't entirely bad, the direction was decidedly downwards. So the show was put on rest for a couple of months while they decide what to do. I suspect that a few more episodes will air late in the season and the ratings for those along with the ratings for the shows which get its slot in the meantime together will determine whether it is renewed or not.
For myself, when Stephen Bochco took over there did seem to be a decidedly negative change to the overall feel of the show in that it began to feel very much like a new version of the West Wing, whereas the early shows seemed fresh and different in a positive way. Whether that was the change in leadership or is just an inevitable consequence of the setting I don't know.
Last I heard it's supposed to be coming back.
They changed executive producers because the show was falling too far behind in filmed eps... maybe the new guy wasn't able to catch up, and they just ran out of shows to air.
The show was kind of interesting - I liked the First Family more than the usually very contrived political plots - but I'm not worrying over whether or not it comes back.
"honestcitizen",
You're a liar.
is that the best that u can do?Who cares about our troops, right?
the truth must really hurt you
Until you can act mature, I will not dignify your spam with a serious response.
spam?mature? youre the one calling me a liar!!!!!!!
It's not cancelled...yet. It's on hiatus. During February because of the Olympics and in March so ABC can promote a new show. (And also because of poor ratings)It's expected back in April.

As if there's something wrong with Harper, or Mulroney for that matter, being in charge.
Sounds like sour grapes to me. What a pitiful loser.
I agree, you're a liar.
do you remember that the progressive conservatives were left with two seats?
I would suggest not feeding the trolls. The Liberals must have really feared Mulroney since they march out his boogey man all the time.
And since we're walking down memory lane - remember when the Liberals didn't do anything for 13 years?
